Success in Adelaide for our WA riders

Equestrian WA proudly congratulates our Western Australian eventing members who travelled interstate to compete at the 2026 Adelaide Equestrian Festival—an internationally recognised championship that attracts some of the world’s top combinations.

Representing WA through their membership, our riders delivered commendable performances across highly competitive classes. In the CCI3*-L, Isobel Stevens-Menzies and Azarax placed 26th, while Tessa Sharman and Cuba RL secured 15th, and Riley Lyall and GI Caramba finished 14th. Riley also competed in the CCI4*-S aboard GI War Machine, placing 17th and demonstrating strong consistency across levels.

In the CCI4*-S, Kenya Wilson and Sandros Salute MW led the WA results with an impressive 8th placing, while Charlee Morton-Sharp and SV Supermaxi finished 13th, continuing their solid form on the national stage.

We also acknowledge Kathryn Ingham and Asti Hera, who made the journey to Adelaide and competed in the dressage phase before retiring. Travelling to compete at this level is a significant achievement, and we commend their efforts.

Importantly, the WA presence at the Adelaide Equestrian Festival extended beyond athletes, with several WA officials also making the trip to further develop their skills and knowledge at an international-level event. Their commitment to professional development plays a vital role in strengthening the sport back home.

A special mention goes to Charlee Morton-Sharp, who travelled with the support of the Broome International Airport Young Rider Scholarship. Charlee’s continued development highlights the importance of such initiatives, and her recent contribution to Senior Team B at the Oceania Championships—where the Senior and Under 25 team secured a silver medal—further reflects her growing presence within the sport.

Equestrian WA congratulates all riders, connections, and officials involved. Your commitment to competing and developing at this level continues to showcase the strength and depth of eventing talent in Western Australia.
