The opportunity…
Are you a hands on, experienced marketing and partnership professional who can hit the ground running? Equestrian Western Australia (EWA) is seeking a dynamic all rounder to deliver key marketing, communications, and sponsorships activities through to April 2026.
Based at the State Equestrian Centre (SEC), this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys variety and takes ownership of results. While there are no direct reports, you’ll manage sponsorships, marketing campaigns, grants and events – all with a roll up your sleeves approach.
Key responsibilities include…
- Maintaining and managing existing sponsorship and partnership agreements.
- Identifying, preparing and managing grant and tender applications and related reporting.
- Producing marketing and communications plans and initiatives.
- Supporting the delivery of major events including the Annual Awards night.
- Managing EWAs digital presence, including website, social media and eDMs.
About you…
- Tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or related field, and/or equivalent level of knowledge and experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging content for a range of audiences and channels.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships and collaborate across teams.
- Proven experience in grant writing, tender preparation and funding management.
- Resilient, adaptable and able to deliver under pressure.

STABLEHAND/GROUND PERSON - Immediate Start
Casual Position | Up to 30 hours per week | Flexible & Weekend Work Available
We’re looking for a motivated Stable Hand / Ground Person to join our team immediately at the State Equestrian Centre (SEC) in Brigadoon.
In this hands-on role, you’ll support the Facilities Coordinator and grounds team to ensure our world-class facilities and arenas are maintained to the highest standard for events and daily operations. Your day will be varied and active — you’ll be involved in tasks such as mucking out stables, arena preparation (including grading), gardening, mowing, waste management, and general maintenance around the grounds. We’re looking for someone who can start right away and hit the ground running.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar grounds or facility maintenance role
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Reliable, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities
- Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment (e.g. event setup)
- Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current WA driver’s licence
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience working in the sporting or equestrian industry
- Licences for operating heavy machinery (e.g. skid steer, tractor)
- Working at Heights Certificate
- Experience with hazardous materials and chemicals
- Current First Aid Certificate
