Marketing and Communications Coordinator - Equestrian WA

We are seeking for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team. The suitable candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing marketing and online communication strategies, ensuring contractual sponsorship’s marketing arrangements are met and working with the team with coordinating the promotion of associated events as required.


Caretaker - State Equestrian Centre

This position shall be responsible for SEC “After Hours” Policy. SEC Caretaker is to ensure the security of all SEC facilities at “Close of Business”. Secondary the SEC Caretaker is the first point of call for any SEC facility emergency after hours. Further duties include assistance in irrigation management, arena maintenance, cleaning and monitoring of clients, members and horses during events.

Position Description


Grounds Person - State Equestrian Centre

As Grounds Person, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the 66-hectare equestrian event facility. Reporting directly to the Facilities & Bookings Coordinator, you will ensure that the facility is presented to a high standard for events and other bookings. You will find your day diversified as you are tasked with a range of duties including but not limited to arena preparation, completing maintenance requests, gardening, mowing, waste management and more. This role is a permanent part-time (FTE0.8) position with weekend work required on a rotational roster, in addition we also have various casual positions for grounds staff available. The ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working within a similar position in grounds and/or facility management
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a collaborative team member
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to meet deadlines
  • Strong influencing and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Western Australia drivers' license (manual preferred)
  • Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one
  • Current Working with Children Certificate and National Police Check

Other key desirables include:

  • Experience working within the sporting industry (e.g. equestrian, racing)
  • Experience with machinery and tools (e.g. line trimmer, chainsaw)
  • Possess the relevant licenses to operate heavy machinery or other equipment (e.g. skid steer, tractor)
  • Working at Heights Certificate
  • Working with Hazardous Material and Chemicals

Stablehand - State Equestrian Centre

Casual and flexible hours between 7 am – 5 pm available on weekdays (minimum 3 hours per shift).

Duties include but are not limited to mucking out stables and sweeping/blowing the yard areas.

The ability to use a bobcat is advantageous but not necessary.
