Membership Categories

We offer a range of categories and you can upgrade at any time.  Categories include Competitor, Participant, Supporter, Adult Riding, and Recreational. For full details, please read the details further below. 

Competitor

Competitor Members are those that participate in and contribute to the competitive environment of equestrian sport.

Benefits:

• Competition Senior: $562.73
• Competition Junior: $332.64
• Competitor Vaulting (Senior): $400

EA Competition Levels Permitted*:

*Must be a Competitor Member. Horse must hold a Full Horse Registration.  Must meet state competition licence requirements.  Visit Horse Services for details about horse registration.

Participant

Participant Members are those that participate in and contribute to grassroots equestrian sports activities.

• Compete in restricted levels of competition (see table below) in Participant classes only
• Participate in closed club activities

• Participant Senior: $346.28

EA Competition Levels Permitted*:

*Must be a Particpant Member. Horse Registration (Full or Base) is encouraged and may be enforced (for biosecurity purposes). Competition licence not required. Visit Horse Services for details about horse registration. 

Supporter

Supporter Members are those that contribute to the competitive environment of the equestrian sport but do not participate in competitions as a rider. They are recognised as having a significant contribution to the sport through their various areas such as coaching, officiating or the owning/breeding of horses.

Adult Riding

Adult Riding Members are those who are currently a member of an Adult Riding Club that is affiliated with both EWA and the Adult Riding Clubs Association of WA (ARCA).

An Adult Riding Member actively participates in equestrian sport activities in a club environment and may compete at events with their peers both interclub, intraclub and at EWA events that hold Adult Riding classes.

EA Competition Levels Permitted:

Recreational

Recreational Members are those who enjoy riding a horse in equestrian activities for pleasure, riding out or they may be a member of an equestrian club. A Recreational member may have had limited association with EWA in the past and could be a member of an equestrian club that is outside of the EA sports.

The EWA Recreational member will now be able to ride and own a horse with the safety of 24/7 Insurance.
