ANNE WILKINS Director and Chairperson (2023 - 2025)
Anne Wilkins is a seasoned equestrian enthusiast deeply entrenched in the equine community. With two dressage horses of her own, bred from her expertise, she serves as President of Moora Horsemen's Association and aids in organising Moora Horse Trials. Anne is an Australian Institute of Company Directors Graduate, and an Australian Rural Leadership Fellow. Her qualifications include Master of Business (Agribusiness), Monash University, Melbourne; Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Economics, University of New England, Armidale, NSW; and an Agricultural Science degree, La Trobe University, Melbourne Anne’s board experience is extensive, having chaired the EWA and currently leading the Grains, Hay & Seed Industry Scheme. Her involvement spans national committees and local associations, demonstrating her commitment to industry development. A lifelong rider, Anne competes in dressage while nurturing her passion for breeding Warmbloods. Beyond the arena, she boasts a successful career in agribusiness consulting and nonprofit leadership, having helmed a local grower group to acclaim. Anne's dedication to the equine world, coupled with her strategic acumen and governance prowess, positions her as a formidable advocate for EWA's future. |
RORY HOVELL Vice Chair, High Performance Board Representative and Director (2023 - 2025)
Rory, a great figure in the equestrian world, displays a multifaceted journey entwined with passion and expertise. With a strong background spanning from riding to event organisation, he has left an indelible mark. Rory served as Vice Chair of the EWA Board, Chair of the National Jumping Committee, and helmed the Australasian Horse Breeders Federation. His vision extends beyond personal achievements, driven by a commitment to elevate equestrian sport in Western Australia. Aspiring to ensure the growth and longevity of the sport, Rory seeks to represent EWA on the Board of Directors, focusing on the enhancement of WA's State Equestrian Centre. His illustrious equestrian history includes leadership roles, ownership of Yalambi Farm, and participation in the Australian Elite Jumping Squad. Coupled with a BSc (Hons) degree in International Agri Business, Rory’s diverse expertise as a director and manager further enriches his contributions to the community. |
ROSLYN O'HALLORAN Finance Director and Risk & Audit Committee (Appointed 2024)
Roslyn O'Halloran serves as the Finance Director on the Equestrian WA Board, leveraging her expertise in finance and governance. Formerly the treasurer of Dressage WA and a member of Perth Dressage Club, Roslyn's dedication to the equestrian community is evident. As Director of Deals at PwC Australia, she brings a wealth of financial knowledge from her background in Assurance, Tax, and Advisory services. GEOFF EDWARDS Director and Risk & Audit Representative (2022 - 2024)
Geoff Edwards brings a unique blend of financial acumen and equestrian passion to the table. With a daughter excelling in showjumping, Geoff's involvement in the sport extends beyond the boardroom. Currently serving on the Equestrian WA board and the EA Fees and Levies Committee, Geoff's 15-year tenure as CFO lends invaluable insight into financial governance. His journey from pony rides at the Royal Show to acquiring horses and supporting his daughter's equestrian endeavours underscores his deep-rooted commitment to the sport. Having competed at Advanced Level in Eventing and bred horses to Grand Prix standard, PollyAnn's expertise is unmatched. Her extensive board and committee experience, including roles on the State Eventing Committee and as Chair of the State Equestrian Centre Committee, exemplifies her commitment to the sport's governance and development. As a dedicated EA Judge, Technical Delegate, and Coach, PollyAnn has mentored officials and athletes alike, fostering excellence in equestrianism. With a wealth of overseas experience, she aims to guide the direction of Olympic disciplines and nurture emerging talent. PollyAnn's lifelong dedication, coupled with her business acumen from running Delamarie Park Stud, makes her a driving force in shaping the future of Equestrian Sport in WA. |
ALEXANDRA DANIELS Director and Audit & Risk Representative (2023 - 2025)

With a Bachelor of Laws from UWA, Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and associate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Alexandra brings a wealth of legal, governance and financial acumen to the table. Her equestrian journey, spanning over four decades, reflects a commitment to dressage and coaching across continents. Returning to the saddle after a hiatus, she competes in dressage and contributes actively to local equestrian clubs. Beyond the arena, Alexandra's career encompasses diverse roles in the legal and corporate sectors, including directorship and company secretarial responsibilities. Managing a rural supplies store underscores her multifaceted expertise. KELLY KENT Director (Appointed 2024)
Kelly Kent is a proficient leader with a diverse background across the energy, training, and government sectors. As a current member of EWA and an active adult rider, Kelly's dedication to equestrian sports is deeply rooted. Her extensive corporate and public affairs expertise, coupled with executive leadership roles, equips her with a strategic mindset and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills. Kelly's analogy of her role to that of an air traffic controller underscores her ability to manage multiple responsibilities with composure and precision. One of her notable achievements includes successfully negotiating the variation and extension of the BP Refinery State Agreement and spearheading significant political engagement to ensure the safe passage through parliament. Kelly’s international experience in the Middle East further demonstrates her versatility and strategic acumen where she played a pivotal role in supporting one of the largest gas projects in the region, showcasing her ability to bridge cultural differences, adapt to diverse governance structures, and drive brand awareness. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she led strategic communications for the state’s COVID19 response, crafting strategic communication plans and agile issues management strategies in the face of rapid change.
