Official Launch - NEW SEC Indoor Arena Surface

On Friday 28 April, the State Equestrian Centre launched the new Indoor Arena Surface with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony featuring the EWA Board and CEO, Jessica Shaw MLA, Lisa Baker MLA and Hon. Samantha Rowe MLC.

On behalf of the Equestrian community in Western Australia, EWA would like to thank the West Australian State Government and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries for their financial support of this amazing project. Without this vital support, projects like this cannot be achieved.

After the formal proceedings of the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the $3,000 Invitational Jumping Grand Prix commenced featuring some of WA’s top Show Jumping Talents. Between 400-500 patrons attended the event, in what is the start of a new chapter in the history of the State Equestrian Centre. Thank you to all those who attended the evening.

Congratulations to all riders who competed throughout the evening, with special congratulations to Emily Hovell on Yalambi’s Finnigan taking out top honours.
