Equestrian WA appoints Rob Kennedy as Chief Executive Officer
Equestrian WA is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Kennedy as Chief Executive Officer.
Rob is an experienced and values-driven sports executive with over 15 years’ success leading teams, growing participation, and driving community-focused impact across State and National sporting organisations. He has held senior executive and development roles with Tennis West, Tennis Australia, and most recently Badminton WA. At Tennis West, Rob was the Head of Tennis Development and Participation, working closely with clubs, coaches, schools, and government stakeholders to strengthen pathways, programs and events to grow the sport.
Having played and coached in multiple sports at a high-performance/professional level prior to moving into Executive Leadership, Rob brings a well-rounded understanding of sport from grassroots through to elite pathways, alongside strong commercial and governance experience. He currently serves as a member of the SportWest True Sport Advisory Board, reinforcing his commitment to integrity, values-led leadership, child-safety, mental health and sustainable sport systems.
Rob will commence full-time in the role on 23 February, although will also make himself available for early orientation from 27 January, including attending the Equestrian WA Awards Night on 6 February.
We also thank Madi Treloar for taking on additional responsibilities over recent months during this transition period.
Please join us in welcoming Rob to Equestrian WA as he leads the organisation in supporting and growing equestrian sport across Western Australia.
