Congratulations Lily Hennessy, Horseland WA Volunteer of the Month!
Equestrian WA is proud to recognise Lily Hennessy as this month’s Horseland WA Volunteer of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding sportsmanship and the positive impact she continues to have on young riders in our community.
Lily is not only a committed competitor but also a role model whose kindness and encouragement help others feel supported and confident. At a recent event, she went out of her way to assist a young rider introducing a new pony to competition, offering reassurance both in the warm-up and in the ring. Later that same day, Lily noticed another young rider who was nervous about coming off the lunge. Without hesitation, she rode alongside the child, providing calm support until the rider gained confidence to continue on their own.
These are just some of the many examples of Lily’s generous spirit. She has consistently shown a willingness to step in and encourage younger riders, often making their first experiences in the sport more positive and enjoyable.
Her gentle and supportive approach embodies the values of respect, care, and community that make equestrian sport thrive. Lily is a shining example of the impact one person’s kindness can have.
Well done, Lily!
