Wanneroo Horse & Pony Club celebrates 50 years

EWA affiliated club, Wanneroo Horse and Pony Club, recently celebrated it's 50th anniversary on the 10th of October 2015.

Unfortunately the founding member, Mr. Gibbs, was unable to attend. In his place was John Fuchness who delighted the audience with anecdotes of how his wife, Lucille, Paul Filing (MP) and Arnold Dammers obtained the grounds, found club funding, and how they organised the clubrooms and riding areas that are now home to Wanneroo Horse and Pony Club.

Long time member, Alan Hibbert, also reminisced on the work and support that the members put in to building the course country course and establishing the reticulation and grounds. He also spoke of the club participating in the International Tattoo at Supreme Court Gardens.

The club was also visited by a number of past and present members who demonstrated their skills in show jumping, mounted games, and dressage.  The members also contributed to a silent auction held, with some great prizes being purchased.

The club would like to thank all those members and the business’s that support our celebration.
