Strong Results for WA at the 2025 National Vaulting Championships
Last month, nine WA vaulters and one horse travelled to Sydney to compete at the National Vaulting Championships at SIEC. Representing two WA clubs—Oakford Vaulting Team and Ripplebrook Equestrian Vaulting Academy (REVA)—the group competed across individual, pas de deux (pairs), and squad events, combining their efforts in both the squad and pairs categories.
From preliminary level through to 2* CVI, our vaulters represented Western Australia with pride, consistently placing and demonstrating that WA vaulting is well and truly meeting the national standard.
Notable results included:
-
Preliminary Pas de Deux B:
• 1st – Imelda Alembick & Zara Detogni
• 2nd – Marianne Rothfuss & Savannah Graham -
Preliminary Individual:
• 2nd – Charlotte Oliver -
Preliminary Squad:
• 2nd – Rhiannon & Imelda Alembick, Zara Detogni, Claire Rogers, Marianne Rothfuss, and Joshua Sinclair -
CVI 2 Individual Senior Female:*
• 3rd – Matilda Yates
Oakford Vaulting Team’s horse Mr Moose—who made the long journey across the country—was a superstar. With lunger Siri Spranz, he also provided rides to multiple vaulters from other clubs around Australia, many of whom were eager to take him home!
Two of our WA vaulters also secured rides on NSW horses, Rapid Fire and TE Monee Seeker, giving them valuable additional competition experience.
Another fantastic achievement from the weekend was REVA coach Kay Fowler attaining her EA Level 1 Vaulting Judge certification, making her just the second active EA vaulting judge in WA.
Alongside celebrating our own results, the team enjoyed watching some incredible vaulting performances. A highlight was the Nexus squad from NSW securing their qualification score for the Senior World Vaulting Championships in Aachen next year.
The WA contingent has returned home full of excitement and inspiration, feeling motivated and ready to take on the 2026 vaulting season.
