SKG Radiology to provide bulk billed scans to Equestrian WA members

Equestrian WA members will have access to bulk billed scans referred by a GP or Specialist as part of a new partnership with SKG Radiology.

As one of WA’s largest diagnostic imaging providers for over 40 years, SKG Radiology has a significant breadth and depth of clinical expertise offered by highly trained, sub-specialised radiologists, imaging technicians, nurses and clerical teams, across 20 locations in WA.

SKG covers sub‐specialty expertise in many areas including; Orthopaedic / Musculoskeletal (including Sports Medicine), Neurological, Vascular, Urological, Paediatric, Breast, Thoracic, Head/Neck, Oncology and Interventional Radiology.

SKG’s generous support will see them recognised as a Gold Partner of equestrian sport in WA and the Exclusive Radiology Partner of Equestrian WA.

Equestrian WA CEO Zac Acott says SKG’s support will provide reassurance for members.

“Naturally, there is a lot of stress involved with personal injury and health concerns, so we are thrilled that our members will be able to access the highest standards of patient care thanks to SKG’s friendly team of highly trained radiologists, technicians and support staff,” Mr Acott said.

Equestrian WA members can access bulk billed scans with SKG Radiology by following the below process:

• Obtain an appropriate referral from a GP or Specialist for imaging
• Email the referral and contact details (including your EWA membership number) to the SKG Midland team: [email protected]
• The SKG Midland team (located 200m away from Horseland Midland) will promptly call you to book an appointment at one of the many SKG Radiology branches
• Once booked, you must also bring the referral along to the appointment
• The SKG Midland team will confirm any additional information or requirements at the time of booking
• Most importantly, Medicare rebatable scans will be Bulk Billed when following this process (Some minor exceptions do apply)
