Seeking EOI for the State Equestrian Centre Advisory Committee

Equestrian Western Australia (EWA) is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced and passionate individuals to join the State Equestrian Centre (SEC) Advisory Committee.

Purpose of the Committee
The SEC Advisory Committee will provide strategic, commercially focused advice to the Board, to support the ongoing development, sustainability, and utilisation of the State Equestrian Centre.

The Committee will play an important role in ensuring the SEC continues to:

  • Operate as Western Australia’s premier equestrian venue
  • Improve financial performance and long-term sustainability
  • Deliver high-quality experiences for participants, clubs, and stakeholders

Scope and Focus Areas
The Committee will provide input and recommendations to the Board across key priority areas, including:

  • Asset & Risk management
  • Venue utilisation and bookings optimisation
  • Future development opportunities aligned to strategic and funding pathways
  • User experience improvements, including:
    • Stabling
    • Meeting spaces
    • Bar and event functionality
  • Commercial opportunities to enhance revenue and reduce cost pressures

Importantly, the Committee will operate at a strategic level and will not be involved in day-to-day operations of the venue.

Who Should Apply
EWA is seeking individuals with skills and experience in areas such as:

  • Facility or venue management
  • Commercial strategy and revenue generation
  • Events and major venue operations
  • Risk/Asset management and infrastructure planning
  • Hospitality and customer experience
  • Governance or advisory roles

We also encourage applications from individuals with a strong understanding of the equestrian sector and its participants.
