EWA Undergoes Organisational Restructure

These are difficult times for many Australians and the Equestrian sport has felt the effects of the tough economic climate in recent years.

To ensure the continued sustainability of EWA and the State Equestrian Centre, the Board and a team of consultants have undergone a review and restructuring of the organisation with the vision that Equestrian WA membership, State Equestrian Centre patronage and the Equestrian sport as a whole continues to grow and prosper into the future.

This restructure supports sustainability, accountability and relationships. Sustainability in that EWA are prepared to innovate or change to deliver long term growth. Accountability, as EWA strives to consistently deliver service and value that exceeds expectations, and relationships as EWA takes the time to fully understand their stakeholders and the vital role they will play in the organisation’s overall success.

To encourage this success, EWA will be intensifying efforts in the areas of business development and event activities to add value to current stakeholders whilst also increasing the scope of the sport to attract new stakeholders. These efforts will include initiatives to ensure that the State Equestrian Centre is always at full capacity and that it becomes a venue of choice for equestrian and non-equestrian events alike.

Unfortunately some employees have been affected as a result of this restructure. The affected employees have been advised of their options and a rigorous process is taking place to ensure that each employee is treated fairly and reasonably, and receives the necessary support required during this transition period. The Board would like to thank the exceptionally dedicated and hardworking team for their valuable contributions in recent years.

EWA will continue to keep members advised as we move forward into this new era of Equestrian sport in Western Australia.
