Equestrian WA Statement to Members

Equestrian WA wishes to thank Hamish Johnston for his leadership during his time as Acting Chief Executive Officer. Hamish concluded his role with us on 17 September, and we extend our best wishes to him for his next chapter.

We are pleased to share that Madi Treloar will step into an expanded role as State Manager where she will be taking on additional responsibilities until February 2026 and will work closely with the Board over the coming months. A structured transition plan is in place to ensure that all operations and key activities continue smoothly while we progress the recruitment process for a permanent Chief Executive Officer.

We recognise that the past year has brought considerable change in leadership. The Board acknowledges the impact this has had on members and stakeholders, and we remain focused on ensuring stability, continuity, and strong governance while we finalise a permanent appointment.

We sincerely thank you for your patience, resilience, and support during what has been a challenging year. Our team remains dedicated to building a strong future for equestrian sport in Western Australia.
