Equestrian WA Joins Respectful Relationships Sport and Recreation Program

Equestrian WA is proud to be part of the ongoing conversation around creating safer, more inclusive and respectful sporting environments by joining the Respectful Relationships Sport and Recreation Program (RRSRP), delivered by the knowledgeable team at Starick.

The RRSRP is an evidence-based program designed to promote respect, equality, and inclusion in sport and recreation. It recognises the significant role sporting organisations can play in driving positive cultural change. The program is funded by the Department of Communities and supported by the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport (CITS), making it freely available to participating organisations.

Our team has recently completed engaging and thought-provoking workshops as part of the program and will continue to receive ongoing support from the brilliant team at Starick to help embed the principles of respectful relationships across our organisation and sporting community.

Who is Starick?
Starick is a not-for-profit organisation based in Western Australia that provides support and services to women and children escaping family and domestic violence. Their broader work in the community includes education, advocacy, and partnerships aimed at preventing violence and promoting equality, safety, and respect in all settings.

As part of our commitment, Equestrian WA looks forward to providing practical resources to members and clubs that support respectful relationships within our sport. We believe these conversations are important and necessary to ensure our community remains a safe, welcoming, and empowering space for all.

If any clubs or members would like more information about the Respectful Relationships program or how to get involved, please reach out to us at [email protected] and we will connect you with the appropriate support and resources.
