Congratulations Penny Nicholson, Horseland WA Volunteer of the Month!

Equestrian WA is proud to recognise Penny Nicholson as our Horseland WA Volunteer of the Month, celebrating more than 20 years of dedicated service to the equestrian community.

A valued member of Gidgegannup Dressage, Penny has become a familiar face at dressage competitions across Western Australia. As an Equestrian Australia accredited steward, she can regularly be found at events ensuring competitions run smoothly, supporting riders, officials and organising committees alike with her experience, professionalism and calm approach.

Penny's commitment to the sport is evident through her consistent willingness to volunteer at competitions, where she helps ensure events run smoothly while supporting riders, officials and fellow volunteers with her wealth of experience.

In addition to being an accredited dressage steward, Penny is also one of only a small number of accredited Para Dressage stewards in Western Australia. Her willingness to support inclusive competition demonstrates her commitment to ensuring opportunities exist for all riders to participate and enjoy the sport.

Despite the many hours she volunteers, Penny still finds time to enjoy riding her own two ponies, reflecting her lifelong passion for horses and dressage.

Volunteers like Penny are the backbone of our sport. Her generosity, experience and unwavering willingness to give her time have made a lasting impact on the dressage community over more than two decades.

Congratulations, Penny, and thank you for your outstanding contribution to equestrian sport in Western Australia.
