Congratulations Courtney Elliot, Horseland WA Volunteer of the Month!
Equestrian WA is proud to recognise Courtney Elliot from Oakford Vaulting Team as our Horseland WA Volunteer of the Month.
Courtney’s contribution to the sport spans an impressive eight years, having first become involved at just 17 years of age. Now 25, she has grown from a keen young helper into a trusted and highly valued member of the Oakford Vaulting Team, consistently giving her time, skill and support to the community.
A dedicated and knowledgeable volunteer, Courtney plays a key role in lunging for the team—demonstrating patience, consistency and a strong understanding of both horse and vaulter. Her steady presence has helped create a safe and supportive environment for athletes to develop their skills.
Beyond her work in sessions, Courtney has also been instrumental in the training of new vaulting horses, helping them build the confidence, strength and reliability required for the sport. In recent years, she has gone even further—taking on the challenge of training her own horse as a vaulting horse and bringing them along to weekly training sessions for the past two years.
Courtney’s quiet dedication, generosity and willingness to step in wherever needed truly reflect the spirit of volunteerism that underpins our sport.
Congratulations, Courtney, and thank you for the incredible contribution you continue to make to the vaulting community in Western Australia.
