Clubs Come Together for Equestrian WA's Inaugural Club Conference

Equestrian WA was delighted to welcome representatives from affiliated clubs across Western Australia to the inaugural 2026 Club Conference, held on Saturday 1 August at the State Equestrian Centre. 

The conference brought together volunteers, committee members and club leaders for a valuable day of learning, networking and sharing ideas, with sessions focused on governance, funding and grant opportunities, volunteer recruitment and succession planning, and creating sustainable clubs for the future. It was fantastic to see such a diverse range of clubs represented, all committed to strengthening the equestrian community and taking home practical knowledge to support their organisations. 

A highlight of the day was the random draw prize of $250, with congratulations going to Eastern Wheatbelt Riding Club, who will be able to put the funding towards training, equipment or initiatives that support their dedicated volunteers. 

Equestrian WA extends its sincere thanks to the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport, through our Regional Servicing Program, for making the conference possible. We also acknowledge Milne Feeds for their ongoing support as our educational partner.  

A special thank you also goes to the presenters from Evolve WA and Sport Integrity Australia, whose engaging and informative sessions provided attendees with practical tools and valuable insights to help clubs continue to thrive.  

We also extend our thanks to Demelza from Starick for being part of the day and representing the Respectful Relationships in Sport initiative through Starick's Respectful Relationships Program. Your presence helped highlight the importance of building respectful and inclusive cultures within our sporting community. 

Following the positive feedback from attendees, Equestrian WA looks forward to building on the success of this inaugural event and continuing to support clubs across the state.
