Call for nominations – Para-Equestrian WA

Equestrian WA is seeking appointed member nominations to form the new Para-Equestrian WA Committee.

Para athlete participation is growing rapidly across equestrian sport, with Western Australia continuing to lead in advancing participation. The new EWA Para Discipline Committee will help develop para equestrian sport in WA and provide advice to EWA on inclusive practices when required.

Applications are encouraged from members who;

• Are committed to advancing para equestrian sport in WA
• Understand good governance practices for not-for-profit associations
• Have experience or insight into the challenges faced by riders with varying physical and mental abilities
• Enjoy working as part of a small, busy team
• Can attend one meeting per month (online or in person)
• Are willing to take on volunteer responsibilities to help progress the committee’s strategic and operational plans.

Nominations are open until Friday 3 April 2026, 5pm.  

Once the nominations have been received, the final composition of the working group will be determined by the board.
