Big week for WA!

WA Eventing Squad Riders, Kenya Wilson and Shenae Lowings, have been selected to join the Australian Young Rider Eventing Team that will contest the Oceania Eventing Young Rider Championship in Taupo (NZL) from 15-17 May 2015. Kenya and Shenae make up two of four members of the Australian Team. What an amazing achievement from these talented young riders.

Equestrian Australia has also revealed each of the 2014 Sport Achievement Awards Night Finalists. As well as acknowledging the top performing athletes and horses of the past year, Equestrian Australia’s Sport Achievement Awards also recognise the sport’s most outstanding administrator, coach, official, owner, volunteer and event of the past 12 months.

WA has a strong representation in this year's field of finalists, with the following WA nominees up for awards:

  • Domestic Horse of the Year - Legal Star (owned by Jessica Manson)
  • Gow Gates Official of the Year - PollyAnn Huntington
  • Australian Sports Commission Event of the Year Nominee - Wooroloo International Three Day Event
  • Gow Gates Club of the Year Nominee – Perth Dressage Club
  • Gow Gates Coach of the Year Nominee –Sonja Johnson
  • KER Owner of the Year Nominee – Nikki Harwood
