Aussie Vaulters produce more excellent results
Our Australian Vaulting Team was back in action yesterday, this time performing their freestyle tests. The squad produced another good result in the 1st round finishing on a score of 5.446.
Australia’s Individual Vaulter Zac Singlehurst also competed in the men’s Individual freestyle section finishing on a score of 6.997 which saw him narrowly miss out on the final.
Unfortunately yesterday’s competition marked the end of our Australian Vaulting Team’s WEG campaign. The squad riders took to social media to thank Australia for all of the support they have received from back home and from the Australian supporters who have travelled to Normandy.

Young guns step up for Australia in Vaulting competition at WEG
It was the next generation of equestrian riders time to shine at the World Equestrian Games, with Australia's best vaulters stepping into the main arena today.
Competition got underway in style with the compulsory test for squads and Australia's starting team of sisters Lucy, Jean and Anna Betts along with David Waller, Sarah Grayson and Jessica Masterton mixed it with the best to finish in 13th place.
It was an extra special day for Lucy, who not only was marking her Australian team debut but was also celebrating her 17th birthday. She got the share the experience with her sisters and fellow team mates Jean and Anna, making the celebrations even more special.
The 'concert' style atmosphere created a stage like no other for the Aussies, with support from the crowd coming from all corners. Once again at WEG it was the Australian fans who could be heard and flags flying in support of our young athletes.
The team were all on hand to support individual competitor Zac Singlehurst who was also making his Australian team debut.
Singlehurst had the performance of his life, finishing on 7.326, a personal best score and one that he was over the moon with.
"I'm ecstatic, best compulsory round I've ever done, horse got a great score, I'm just so happy.
"All the support from the Australians that came, and even those who aren't even Australians cheering, it was the best feeling ever. It's a once in a life time opportunity, it's just great to be here," said Singlehurst.
Singlehurst finished the day in 14th place.
The vaulting squad along with Singlehutst will back-up again tomorrow in the all important free style competition.
