BORN REGAL | OFF TO A FLYING START!

Born Regal, the 2010 Testa Rossa gelding, known affectionately as "Strawberry," boasts an impressive track record with 48 starts, securing four wins, three seconds, and six thirds before retiring in 2018 with $56,527 in earnings. Initially trained by Fenella Martin and Justin Warwick, Born Regal found a new chapter in eventing under the care of Jade Donald in 2021.

Jade describes Strawberry as a laid-back and relaxed companion, and after a year of building rapport, their partnership flourished. Born Regal's talent emerged, and they progressed to 95cm eventing, eyeing 1* classes and beyond. In 2023, their achievements include a notable 5th place in the EvA80 at Moora Horse Trials CCN-S in June and a 10th place in Gidgegannup's CCN at EvA95 in July.

Jade's dedication has led to victories, including the EvA95cm OTT class at the 2023 South West Horse Trials and the EvA95 OTT class at Capel HPC CCN. Despite challenges, like Strawberry's initial laziness, they triumphed with a third place in the EvA95 OTT class at WAYER International Horse Trials. Jade looks forward to future goals, aspiring to compete in Equestrian in the Park and the Melbourne International Three-Day Event. Born Regal and Jade's journey is supported by the OTTWA, wishing them success in their evolving equestrian endeavors.
