2022 Interschool stars celebrated at Awards Night

The EWA and Saddles Plus Interschool Equestrian Awards Night was held last weekend at the State Equestrian Centre with over 150 people in attendance. 

A dazzling display of all the trophies, rosettes, sashes and amazing prizes generously sponsored by Saddles Plus greeted everyone as they entered the presentation area.

A light supper was provided as well as delicious Interschool Cupcakes by The Bake King.

There were over 200 awards presented on the night by the EWA Chair Anne Wilkins and EWA CEO Zac Acott. 

Awards were presented to the Highest Placed Individual Riders for their age group, the Champion and Reserve Champion Rural and Overall Riders, the winning sport discipline teams in Dressage, Jumping, Show Horse, Combined Training and Eventing, and the overall Champion and Reserve Champions teams and Schools. 

The Dressage Championship winners were also presented as were the High Point Off the Track Awards and Breed Society awards. The Alumni of 2022, our Year 12 Riders, were presented with their Interschool Graduation Certificates.

Another highlight of the evening was the announcement of the team to represent Western Australia at the Australian Interschool Championships in Sydney in September (pictured above).

The appointed WA Team Manager is Corien Ridley of Cowaramup. Corien has attended previous Interschool Championships and, with her experience, will ensure that all our team have the opportunity to shine and proudly represent WA.
