2017 La Noir Saddleworld Vaulting Squad Applications Open

Expressions of interest are now being accepted for the 2017 La Noir Saddleworld EWA Vaulting High Performance Squads.

Applications are to be submitted to High Performance Manager [email protected] by Thursday 16th February 2017.

General Squad Criteria

Combinations are obliged to meet the following for inclusion on an EWA High Performance Squad:

  • Riders needs to be a current member of EWA and their horse registered with EA and micro chipped.
  • Athletes should have the enthusiasm to receive guidance and show aspiration and potential talent for future selection on to the Equestrian Australia National High Performance Program.
  • Athletes should attend at least one High Performance opportunity annually including attendance at a Judges Education Seminar at their respective competition level.
  • Athletes will need to sign the Athlete Agreement & Code of Conduct before inclusion on to an EWA High Performance Squad.
  • Athletes must be fit to satisfy competition requirements from the beginning of the Squad year when signing declaration. Should the selected athlete become unable to continue training or competition for any reason, they have the responsibility to notify the EWA HPM in writing as soon as possible. All correspondence will be confidential.
  • Riders are expected to check their emails once a week as well as read the High Performance Section in the EWA Weekly Newsletter.

Vaulting Squad Competition Criteria

A Squad position will be held for one year, subject to mid-year review, then riders will be invited to reapply. Combinations must also meet the following competition criteria to be considered:

State Squad Criteria

  • Athletes need to be representing Western Australia in competitive classes.
  • Athletes with at least two scores of 5.5 between 1st of January 2016 to 30th December 2016.

Recognition Squad Criteria

  • Athletes need to be representing Western Australia in participant classes.
  • Athletes with at least with at least two scores of 5.5 between 1st of January 2016 and 30th of December 2016.

Should exceptional circumstance or performances occur, the Selection Panel retains the right to allow for their discretion to take precedent
