2015 WA Winners of the EA Club Development Grants

Western Australia clubs, Katanning Equestrian Association Inc. and Busselton Horse & Pony Club Inc. have been announced as recipients of an Equestrian Australia (EA) Club Development Grant.

The WA clubs are among the 15 clubs from around Australia to receive an EA grant. Clubs were invited to apply for a share of $30,000 in funding which could be put towards facilities upgrades, purchasing of new equipment or membership and volunteer recruitment programs. The initiative attracted a strong response from clubs, with EA receiving 144 applications for funding assistance.

The Katanning Equestrian Association Inc. received $2,000 which it will put towards two Eastern State Judge Educators/Mentors to judge the Katanning Inland Dressage Extravaganza and provide judge mentoring opportunities and education.

The Busselton Horse & Pony Club Inc. received $3,000 which it will put towards a bore that will enable them fresh water to better maintain club grounds for safer footing and higher level competition opportunities.

The WA branch together with EA assessed each of the WA applications on how they engage and work with their current membership base, their participation in EA activities and their track record of encouraging participation in club events.
