Our Interschools stars and horses begin their journey across the Nullarbor for Nationals!

Our WA superstars are ready to take the equestrian world by storm at next week’s Australian Interschool Championships being held in Sydney.

Preparations have reached fever pitch as our stars make their way over to New South Wales to represent our state with pride against the rest of the nation.

It was a very special morning at the State Equestrian Centre, as some very precious cargo commenced the journey across the Nullarbor!

Thanks to drivers Glen and Chris, as well as Wayne and John at Combined Horse Transport – six of our team’s horses are now on the way to Sydney – travelling in comfort and style and in the best possible hands for the long journey!

Each horse is rested at professional spelling stations every four to five hours, and also has its own stainless steel feed and water which is refreshed at the same time.

The horses will have extended rest times and a chance to roam around in Adelaide and Melbourne, before arriving in Sydney on Friday evening.

The Australian Interschool Championships attracts more than 2,000 school based competitors, family, friends and supporters from right around the country.

Competitors, aged 5-18 years old, are required to qualify through from their respective State Interschool Championships. It is the largest equestrian grassroots program delivered nationally in Australia.
