Preferred equipment - Rope halter and training lead rope of four metres in length, otherwise in a halter and have a decent length of rope.

Flatwork - EA Coaches Wendy Barker, Liz Tollarzo and Dinah Fleming

The purpose of flatwork is to assist the horse to become calm, supple, loose and flexible, but also confident, attentive and keen, thus achieving perfect understanding with its rider. Flatwork covers a multitude of exercises from circles, turns, transitions from pace to pace for example from the walk to canter and transitions within a pace such as working trot to medium trot.
