EWA Annual Award Policy - Amendments (Dec 2023)

In light of the recent upgrades made to Equestrian WA's Annual Awards Policy, adjustments have been implemented to enhance the recognition process. The selection panel sat last week and responding to the number of nominations from members; has recommended and subsequently implemented alterations for two specific awards:

1. Club - Events of the Year:
   • Previous Method: Awarded by each discipline and one overall winner.
   • Revised Method: Finalists and one overall winner.
   • Rationale: This change is prompted by the receipt of nominations across two disciplines, prompting a shift towards a more consolidated recognition approach.
2. Volunteer of the Year:
   • Previous Method: Awarded as finalists and overall winner.
   • Revised Method: Awarded by each discipline winner and an overall winner.
   • Rationale: With an impressive 20+ nominations received, this adjustment allows for a more nuanced acknowledgment by discipline while still recognising an outstanding overall winner.
