BELLE WINTER | A FIERY FROST GIANT

Belle Winter, a Frost Giant mare, transitioned seamlessly into her second career, leaving behind a racing record of 13 starts with minimal success. Under trainers Fred Kersley and Jacquelyn Scott, Belle retired in 2018 with only one third-place finish and $2,005 in prize money. In January 2019, Katie McGlinn, spurred by a chance encounter at Ascot Racecourse, took Belle, known as Dallas in her second career, under her wing.

Dallas and Katie swiftly embarked on a successful journey, with Dallas proving her prowess by securing second place in the EvA 65cm class at WAYER International Horse Trials in March 2019, just five months after retiring. In 2023, their achievements include a notable 4th place in the 1.15M Young Showjumping Horse Winters Series Round 2 and a 3rd place in CCI2* Brigadoon CCI in April.

The dynamic duo excelled not only in eventing but also in show jumping up to 100cm and Novice dressage. Notable victories include their recent triumph in the Off the Track EvA 80cm class at Wooroloo CCN, finishing with a dressage score of 28.8 penalties. With Dallas's love for jumping and a remarkable heart, the six-year-old mare continues to impress, and Katie anticipates an exciting future for their partnership.

We eagerly anticipate updates on their 2024 endeavours.
