Sharon & Ceasy: The Countdown Is On

Donnybrook local, Sharon Jarvis, and her mount Ceasy, will be jetting off to Holland in a matter of weeks for a pre-Games staging camp. We caught up with the Australian Paralympic Equestrian Team member to discuss how her preparations are going for Rio and how she's feeling as the as the event looms closer.

"Ceasy travelled well to the East and has settled in at Wendy Ward's place, which is next door to the Ryan's at Newcastle Equestrian Centre. Training with Rozzie Ryan is going well. We are getting our Freestyle sorted and look forward to riding the finished product.

"The excitement got going a bit more when I went down to Sydney for the trying-on of our team uniforms. We won't be missed that's for sure. It is bright and I am sure the formal uniform will look good in a big group! We picked up our staging camp uniform too. Getting excited!

"We are off to compete this weekend at Alexander Park Dressage, the last competition before we fly out. Less than three weeks to go now. I am very much looking forward working with Emma Bardot who is the groom for Ceasy. Emma will be flying with Ceasy, leaving on the 10th of August from Melbourne.

"Thank you so much for the support from back home, it means the world to me. The phone calls, messages and Facebook comments - thank you. If you would like to stay up to date while I am away, please like my Facebook page Sharon Jarvis, Paralympian, Equestrian - Dressage."
