Online Webinar with Dr. Cate Plummer

This free webinar, organised by Equestrian Queensland, is open to members of all states and will bring you up to date with changes to the FEI swabbing system and the impact on the National system.

Cate graduated from Sydney University in 1989 having previously completed a degree in Equine Exercise Physiology. Cate has been actively involved in mixed practice since then and has also been employed by Racing NSW as an official race day veterinarian.

Cate has an interest in performance horses and has been an FEI accredited veterinarian for many years. Some of her appointments include Medication Control Veterinarian at the Hong Kong Paralympics in 2008 and the Youth Olympics in Singapore in 2010.

Cate commenced this year as EA National Medication Control Officer (NMCO). In this role, Cate is responsible for both the National swabbing scheme as well as FEI sanctioned events. Increasing swabbing opportunities at National events is on Cate’s agenda as a discussion with State and Organising committees of all discipline types.  Cate has commenced providing update seminars to MCP Stewards, and is keen to foster education around the FEI Clean Sport programme including demystifying swabbing with talks underway for parents and children at a number of Interschool Competitions.
