Bronze Series

Current Standings (20.9.2018)

Aim

It is envisaged that the series will act as a beneficial preparation for both horses and riders transitioning from competing at a height of 1.15m and progressing through to heights of 1.25m plus in preparation to compete in EWA Silver Series classes.

Objective

To administer, along with jump clubs, up to 10 rounds of the series to be run between March and November each calendar year.

Event Guidelines

  • An annual series of shows hosting Bronze Series events will run throughout the calendar year in WA; set by EWAJC.
  • Expressions of interest to become a host club of the Bronze Series should be directed to the EWAJC prior to September of the previous year. This can be done in writing directly to the committee or via the EWA dates submission form.
  • The Bronze Series class is to be run as an open class under Article 238.2.2.
  • The Bronze Series class will be open to horses with less than 20 points at the start of the Show.
  • The height of the Bronze Series classes will start at 1.15m in March and rise through to 1.25m in November.

Class Entry & Prizemoney

  • Horse and rider combinations may only compete in just one of the EWAJ Bronze, Silver or HOTY Leaderboard qualifiers at the same fixture.
  • There is to be minimum cash prize money of $700 per class.
  • Vouchers or merchandise may be given in addition to the cash prize money total but may not supplement the cash prize money total as above.
  • The EWAJC offers financial assistance to each participating host club to help run the qualifier as per the conditions laid out by the EWAJC. For more information on club financial assistance click here.

Leaderboard

  • Maintenance of the leaderboard is to be the responsibility of the EWA Jumping Committee.
  • Points will be awarded from each round with 1st - 10, 2nd - 8, 3rd - 6, 4th - 5, 5th – 4, 6th – 3 and an additional 1pt for each clear round.
  • The Series leaderboard will be based on the performance of the horse and rider combination.
  • Where a rider accrues a total of 16 penalties or more in the first-round riders does not accrue leaderboard points.
  • Points will be allocated from each event entered however only the best six scores will count towards each horse and rider combination’s final score.
  • National Jumping Rules Article 254.2.2 (calculation of points) does not apply to this leaderboard series competition.
  • Equality of points will be separated by the number of wins and subsequent placings.
  • The winner of the leaderboard will be awarded a rug, trophy and prize at the annual EWA Awards night.
