     Young Event Horse Class Results

Event Information (Updated 06.08.18)

Saturday 29 September will feature the Horseland Young Event Horse of the Year. The purpose of the Horseland Young Event Horse of the Year competition is to provide owners, riders and breeders with the opportunity to showcase the eventing potential of their 4, 5, 6 and 7 year-old horses. The primary aim of these classes is to encourage trainers and breeders to produce and present the correct type of young horse with the potential to develop into an elite event horse.

Sunday 30 September will feature the entertaining and popular Eventing Grand Prix. Combining show jumps and fixed fences over a fast-paced course, riders need to navigate 10-15 fences within 10 seconds of the optimum time without lowering fences or any disobediences. With more than $7000 in prizes on offer, the event is a shaping up to be a must-do on the WA Eventing Calendar.

2018 will see the event conducted under a new format with three phases completed consecutively in a single arena providing a brilliant showcase of eventing talent for riders, breeders and owners. International Eventing Rider and Coach Craig Barret will join FEI 5* Eventing Judge PollyAnn Huntington and well-respected veterinarian Dr Kim Rose to form the judging panel.

2018 will also see the inaugural Off the Track Young Event Horse of the Year to be run congruently with the open competition providing an opportunity for off the track horses showing eventing potential to participate and be rewarded.
